Jagdamba Motors, the official distributor of Proton in Nepal, has unveiled the Proton eMas 7 electric SUV in the Nepalese market, a month ahead of its official launch on March 21, 2025. The eMas 7 is globally known as the Geely Galaxy E5.
The showcased vehicles, wrapped in Nepal-inspired livery, will embark on an extensive nationwide journey before their official debut.
In Nepal, the eMas 7 will be offered in two variants: Prime and Premium, priced at Rs 56.99 lakh and Rs 67.99 lakh, respectively. Both models feature a front-mounted electric motor producing 160 kW of power and 320 Nm of torque. They also incorporate a 12-in-1 electric motor system, enabling a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 6.9 seconds.
A key highlight of this EV is its Aegis Short Blade Battery, developed by Geely Automobile. This advanced lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery delivers faster charging speeds, improved safety, and a longer lifespan compared to conventional blade batteries.
Variants Breakdown
Prime Variant: 345 km (WLTP) range, 49.52 kWh LFP battery, 18" alloy wheels, 15.4" 2.5K display, remote control functionality, and ADAS Level 2.
Premium Variant: 410 km (WLTP) range, 60.22 kWh LFP battery, 19" alloy wheels, a 16-speaker audio system, windshield head-up display (HUD), and ventilated front seats.
The eMas 7 boasts a spacious interior, supported by a 2,750mm wheelbase, and features a Flyme Sound System with 16 speakers.
This electric SUV will be available in six exterior colours—Platinum Silver, Turquoise Green, Slate Grey, Quartz Rose, Lithium White, and Moyu Black—paired with a single interior colour option: Indigo Blue.
